Considered Answers

Everything you
need to know.

Eleven botanical oils. Two complete rituals. Every botanical named, every mechanism explained — if you have a question about Essence of Eden, chances are it's answered below.

Yes — Essence of Eden is designed for whole-body use. Apply 3–4 drops to the face as a facial oil or moisturiser. Use more generously as a body oil on arms, legs, and anywhere that needs deep nourishment. Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) and Argania Spinosa (Argan) are non-comedogenic, so they won't block pores even on facial skin.

Face Body Non-comedogenic

No — when used in the right amount. For skin, 3–4 drops warmed in the palms and pressed in (not rubbed) absorbs cleanly within minutes. For hair, 1–2 drops post-wash on the ends adds shine without heaviness. Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil is the closest oil to skin's natural sebum, which means it balances rather than sits on top.

Fast-absorbing Lightweight

Calendula Officinalis and Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) are among the most tolerated botanicals for sensitive skin. The essential oils — Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) and Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) — are present in small, skin-safe concentrations. If you have a known sensitivity to any of the listed botanicals, we recommend a patch test on the inner arm for 24 hours before full use.

Calendula Patch test recommended

Two ways. Pre-wash: apply 6–8 drops to dry hair from mid-lengths to ends, leave for 20–30 minutes, then shampoo as normal. This is the most conditioning use. Post-wash: work 1–2 drops through damp ends only to tame frizz and add shine. Avoid roots if your hair is fine or prone to oiliness.

Pre-wash Post-wash Castor · Amla · Hemp

Amla (Phyllanthus Emblica, or Indian Gooseberry) is one of Ayurveda's most revered hair and scalp tonics — used for thousands of years to strengthen hair, nourish the scalp, and support natural colour and thickness. It contains the highest natural concentration of Vitamin C of any plant, along with tannins and polyphenols that protect the hair shaft from oxidative damage.

Ayurvedic Phyllanthus Emblica Vitamin C-rich

Yes. In the morning, apply before SPF — oils should always sit beneath sunscreen, not over it. In the evening, use as the final step after cleansing on clean skin. Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil are particularly effective overnight, working while your skin is in its natural repair cycle.

AM & PM Apply before SPF

No. Essence of Eden contains only botanical-origin ingredients — 11 pure plant oils and extracts, nothing else. No silicones, no mineral oils, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens, no preservatives. The formula is entirely oil-based, which means it requires no water phase and no synthetic preservation system.

Zero Synthetics No Silicones No Preservatives

Essence of Eden is available in 30ml and 100ml. The 30ml is ideal for trying the formula or for travel. The 100ml is suited to those using it as both a daily skin oil and a regular hair treatment — or anyone who wants the full body oil experience.

30ml 100ml

Yes — and it's entirely safe and legal. Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant. It contains no THC and no CBD (these compounds are found in the leaves and flowers, not the seeds), so it has no psychoactive properties and no legal restrictions in Australia or globally for cosmetic use.

What makes hemp seed oil exceptional in skincare is its near-perfect 3:1 omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid ratio — closer to the skin's natural lipid composition than almost any other plant oil. Rich in linoleic acid for barrier support, gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) for anti-inflammatory action, and Vitamin E for antioxidant defense. Particularly effective for dry, eczema-prone, and inflammation-prone skin.

Cannabis Sativa No THC · No CBD Omega-rich

Most botanical oils on the market fall into one of three categories — none of which Essence of Eden belongs to. Single-oil hero products (rosehip, argan, marula) deliver one botanical with marketing wrapped around heritage claims. Mass-market body oils use mineral oil or single-cheap-oil bases with synthetic fragrance. Specialty hair oils are typically silicone-heavy formulas that coat rather than nourish.

Essence of Eden is built on eleven pure botanical oils working together as one ritual — engineered for both skin and hair use. Cannabis Sativa (Hemp Seed) for omega balance, Phyllanthus Emblica (Amla) for hair strengthening, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) for clarity, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) for natural Vitamin A, Argania Spinosa (Argan) for shine, Ricinus Communis (Castor) for thickness, plus Jojoba, Lavender, Geranium, Calendula, and Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

PureNeem's Ayurvedic-clinical fusion philosophy expressed as a multi-use ritual oil — heritage Ayurvedic botanicals (Amla, Neem) paired with evidence-led modern oils (Hemp, Rosehip, Argan) in full INCI transparency.

11 botanicals Skin + hair No silicones

Both are PureNeem botanical oil rituals, but they serve different purposes — and many users own both for different moments.

Curcuma Glow Oil is a face-focused brightening oil built around Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Oil — engineered for radiance, tone correction, and morning glow. Lighter texture, designed for under-makeup application, ideal for the AM ritual and pigmentation-prone complexions.

Essence of Eden is a multi-use ritual oil for skin and hair — built around eleven botanicals including Hemp Seed, Amla, and Neem. Richer texture, designed for body and hair as much as face, ideal for the PM ritual, post-shower use, and as a weekly hair treatment.

If you want one oil: choose Curcuma for face-and-glow priority, Eden for body-and-hair priority. If you want both: Curcuma in the AM, Eden for body and hair, with either suitable for evening face use depending on your skin's needs that night.
